At the beginning of a New Year, many people have a long list of items they would like to see accomplished in the upcoming year. We traditionally call that list our “New Year’s Resolutions.”

Whatever your goal is, you have probably seen many people attack their New Year’s Resolutions with gusto in January, only to burn out in the remaining 11 months of the year.

In this Saturday Talk from the Porch, I share with you 2 really simple ways to make sure you achieve not only your goal but life-altering transformation.
I know 15 minutes a day does not seem like much, but that is why it works. If you can carve out a small portion of time to dedicate to your goal, you can begin to develop a lifelong habit. Maybe, you spend 15 minutes while eating lunch to read that book you have been wanting to read. Or, you set your alarm 15 minutes early and work out before starting your day. After a few weeks, you will have developed a habit and those 15 minutes will have turned into hours of work put into reaching your goal.
Another place I see people struggle with their resolutions is they try to too spread their dedication and focus on too many things. If we are giving 15 minutes a day to 3-4 goals that add up to an hour a day. Most of us would struggle to commit more than that to change. But the great news is, as your 1st quarter goals are achieved, and become a habit, you will have toom to tackle the next set of goals. By the end of the year, you can achieve 12-16 life-changing goals.
